The China Challenge 2007 Presentation
The China Challenge 2007 group were presented with the Chartered Surveyors’ Company Endeavour Award at a Court Luncheon held on the 2nd July 2008 at the Brewers Hall in London. Richard Moxon received the award on behalf of the whole group as he instigated the event and in his capacity as Chairman of RICS England. The award is made annually to the group or individual who has given outstanding support in raising funds for LionHeart, the charity for RICS members and their families. The China Challenge raised a total of almost £79,000 with an excess of £27,000 being donated to LionHeart. Richard hosted an event for the trekkers at RICS HQ on the 15th July so all who took part could share in the award. We were all really proud to receive this. Peter was also part of the team but unfortunately was away on holiday and thus unable to attend.
********* Pauline's Retirement For some reason or other Pauline has decided to retire and become a lady of leisure. We wish her all the best in her retirement despite the fact that Brian Robinson believes she will become very bored.

Recently one of our senior property mangers Sarah Hammond was invited to join the Residential Lettings and Management Group of the RICS and as a result of this contributed a Q&A article for the RICS journal. The article is reprinted here and if you have any further questions for Sarah she may be contacted on sarah.hammond@pennyucick.co.uk ********* The retirement of Robert T Brown FRICS FARLA MIRPM Following an illness Robert Brown will be retiring as a Partner from the Practice on 30th June 2007 but will continue to practice as a Consultant with responsibility for Residential Lettings and service charge. We are delighted to say that Robert made a complete recovery from his illness but following medical advice decided to reduce his commitments. PROPERTY AUCTION - 26TH JUNE 2007 Pennycuick Collins is pleased to report the completion of another highly successful property auction. Over £2 million of property was sold, taking the total for the March and June auctions to a shade under £5 million. Nineteen of the twenty two lots available for sale were sold - a sales success rate of 86%. These included residential properties (on a vacant possession, redevelopment and investment basis), commercial investment property, ground rent investments and amenity land. Our next auction is on Tuesday 9th October and Auctioneer Stuart Tullah will be pleased to hear from prospective sellers who may wish to consider sale at public auction. announce that their Commercial Property Partner Richard Moxon, has
been re-elected as Chairman of RICS England for a second term of
office. ********* Building Surveyor’s success The Practice would like to congratulate David Baker upon achieving full Membership to the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), following his Final Assessment in May. David has been undertaking the Institution’s Assessment of Professional Competence programme for the last two and half years now and has played a key part in the development of the Building Surveying Department.
