Success at national property awards
July 12th 2018
Pennycuick Collins is celebrating success at the annual ARMA (the Association of Residential Managing Agents) ACE Awards which recognise excellence and exceptional achievement by the UK’s leading residential managing agents, their suppliers and the work of their people in improving the lives of over a million leaseholders across the country.
Peter Dening was awarded the honorary industry award, this category being open to individuals who have made a significant contribution to the leasehold property management sector over their careers. Pennycuick Collins was also shortlisted in the ‘larger managing agent of the year’ category.
Speaking about the awards, Lyndsey Cannon-Leach who heads up the Residential Service Charge team at Pennycuick Collins said:
“We are all incredibly proud of Peter and of the contribution he has made to changing the perceptions of the residential property management sector. As someone who is passionate about achieving high standards and mindful that residential property management was largely unregulated compared to its commercial counterpart, Peter set about collaborating with ARMA to change how the industry operates. He is a highly deserving recipient of this award.”
Dr Nigel Glen, ARMA CEO, said:
“The winners are a credit to the industry and I know what a hard job the judges had in deciding who should go home with a trophy from so many outstanding entries. The winning firms and team members are setting the standard for companies that wish to be recognised for achieving excellence and best practice in their field.”
Throughout his career Peter has been a proactive member and supporter of ARMA. This support and involvement spans over 20 years, during which time he has chaired the ARMA technical committee and been an active member of the finance committee, executive committee and ARMA-Q standards working group which produced the first set of standards which underpin ARMA-Q. His council involvement spans 2006 to 2015, including his election as ARMA Chairman from 2010 to 2012.
The ACE awards are open to ARMA members, associates, partners and external suppliers to ARMA members and include several categories not covered by other awards. The full list of winners can be viewed at https://awards.arma.org.uk/home/winners
