Pennycuick Collins advises The Gooch Estate on Pershore Street development

November 23rd 2017

Pennycuick Collins has advised the Gooch Estate on a planning application submitted on behalf of Pershore Street Ltd, a joint venture partnership comprising Galliard Homes and Aplesy House Capital, to develop the 0.64 hectare Pershore Street Car Park Site within the Gooch Street Estate, Birmingham. The mixed-use proposal comprises 379 residential units, street level perimeter commercial units and ground floor covered car park and ancillary uses. The Gooch Estate retains its freehold interest in the site.

Pershore Street is a design led, sustainable and contextually driven scheme – designed by Claridge Architects. The architectural ambition is to complement and enhance the character of the area in the creation of a contemporary, yet in keeping new build scheme. All residents will benefit from access to a large shared landscaped courtyard garden, concierge service, sheltered bicycle storage and access to landscaped pocket parks.

Charles Gillett of Pennycuick Collins said:

“The Gooch Estate is hugely excited by the proposed scheme in the heart of Southside that will add much needed high quality living space and more life and vibrancy to the area’s streets.”
