Pennycuick Collins appointed on major city building
October 15th 2015
We’re delighted to announce that we have won the block management contract for a key office scheme in Birmingham’s Westside.
We will provide a range of property management services at the 17-storey Quayside Tower on Broad Street in a joint venture with Brunsfield.
The landmark building – which was built in 1966 and completely refurbished in 2003 – was acquired in 2013 by Peng Global Holdings and a private Chinese investment partner in the city’s first major property deal with Chinese investors.
The property comprises of 97,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, 36,000 sq ft of ground floor retail and leisure and 230 parking spaces in its own multi-storey car park. Existing tenants include Westside BID, HIBU (UK), Signalling Solutions, Regus and Terraquest.
We shall be responsible for a range of services from rent and service charge collection to lease management and building maintenance in what our partner Richard Moxon said is an area of significant growth for the business.
Richard comments: “Property Management has been at the heart of a Pennycuick Collins’ business since it was founded 35 years ago and this appointment to our first major city centre office scheme in Birmingham very much reflects our aspirations as a business and the growth potential we see in this sector.
“We have recently recruited James Bridge to join our expanding property management team who has significant experience in this sector and will help us continue to grow our portfolio and identify new opportunities.
“Quayside Tower is a fantastically located scheme with destinations such as Brindleyplace and The Mailbox on its doorstep and we look forward to working closely with the building’s owners and agents to ensure we are maximizing its full potential in what is an incredibly exciting time for this part of Birmingham.”
